Our Story

The Bumblebee Group was founded in 2013 by serial entrepreneur Sean O’Connell. Bringing a wealth of experience as an IT practitioner and IT Executive for multinational and listed entities, Sean has again created an organisation that is committed to, inspiring people, transforming organisations and delivering value.

The Bumblebee Group set out to strategically balance its services and own-product revenues alongside attracting top talent that subscribed to our philosophy and business ethos.

Embracing an entrepreneurial culture and the vision of remaining a boutique supplier of software development services, Bumblebee delivers best practices, honest feedback and relevant advice to our clients.

Through significant investment into R&D and innovation, Bumblebee has developed some impressive solutions. One of these is MobeeWash, an Uber/Airbnb-inspired mobile app that provides car washing services right at customers fingertips.

MobeeWash

Developed by Bumblebee Consulting and associate group company Airborne Experience, MobeeWash, the ultimate vehicle cleaning app was launched in 2017, providing users with access to a mobile waterless car wash service at home, work, or elsewhere! Available on both Android and iOS devices, MobeeWash is as convenient as it gets. Your car wash comes to you no matter where you are – a clean car anytime, anywhere.

Airborne

Airborne Experience is a proudly South African, Cape Town-based company that was established in 2006. With an 18 year track record, Airborne Experience offers customers memorable experiences and solutions. Specialising in UI/UX design and mobile application development, and offering a smorgasbord of digital capabilities, we are passionate about aligning business, brand and marketing strategies to allow your business to embrace the digital world successfully.

Mischief Motorsport

We have assembled an eclectic mix of like-minded individuals with the relevant skills and track records to deliver on our vision of creating a welcoming and stimulating environment for petrol-heads and artists alike. Mischief Motorsport is a melting pot of passionate and creative people intent on innovation and having fun. Mischief offers a range of services from high-end performance and race tuning, to engine software upgrades, engine conversions and total rebuilds. Artistic passions are satisfied by the incorporation of a purpose-built and state of the art Sound Recording studio which is situated amongst a fine collection of motoring classics.
