The 27th annual Da Vinci Institute’s 2018 tt100 Business Innovation Awards took place on Wednesday, 14 November at the Johannesburg Country Club under the theme, “Celebrating Leadership”. Da Vinci’s tt100 Awards programme recognises South Africa’s finest role models who demonstrate excellence based on The Da Vinci Institute’s trademarked TIPS framework, which looks at how organisations manage their Technology, Innovation and People in a Systemic environment.
This year saw 192 companies enter the programme which resulted in 1152 category entrants. Speaking about the awards, Prof. Bennie Anderson, Director tt100 said, “The tt100 creates an awareness of the importance of having a conceptual framework around developing business, such as how matters related to technology management, managing innovation, managing people and things systemically if drawn together, can allow you to be more agile, more aligned and more engaged.”
Founded in 2013, Bumblebee entered the awards programme for the first time in 2018 and was nominated as a finalist in the following categories:

o Management of People
o Management of Systems
o Overall Excellence
o Excellence in Sustainability
